Camera Collection

My expanding camera collection, in order of acquisition:

Canon EOS Rebel G
This was what started my interest in photography - I loved the control that I had over the process. Now it largely gathers dust, though I should probably use it more.

Gateway DC-T50
In my humble opinion, this is a crappy little digital point and shoot that is only good when it is just by far the most convenient thing to pull out of a bag. That said, now I haul it around with my Holga for quirky shots when I don’t necessarily want to burn a 6×6 120 exposure.

Olympus E-500
I love this camera, my first and only digital SLR. I’m happy with everything but the autofocus, which I find to be rather unreliable (though it could absolutely be user error).

Panasonic K-1000
Technically this isn’t mine, but Marty has let me use it indefinitely. I like it because of the internal meter, which helps me get a sense of how the aperature/shutter speed/film speed all come together.

Holga N
Wow, this is just fun. How can you go wrong?

Kodak Duaflex II
While it is a little painful getting 120 rolls through it (I have one 620 spindle, and I cut off some of the extra plastic on the 120 spindle), the only roll I put through it was fun, and I got an incredible shot of Henry. Now it is loaded with B+W film that expired in 1983!

Diana+
I only started shooting with it today. Thanks for the great Valentine’s Day present, Robin.

3rd December 2007

man,

I just figured out (and by “I” I mean Peter showed me) how to post on our blog. I’m not sure if I could get into posting on a blog or not. I mean, would all my posts end up being about how many calls I had gotten from the principal about Henry that week (2), or would they end up being about how far Zeta can stick her finger up her nose (way further than you would think)…or laundry? Would I end up writing about laundry? Stay tuned…..there very well may be some exciting fabric softener talk coming soon!

check out my spirit

I was talking with Carole and Stacy yesterday, and at one point I suggested that people ought to bring out their holiday decorations and set everything up on the evening of December 23rd. That way, they have ALL of Christmas eve to enjoy the ambiance.

So, to counter my own advice, check out the temporary theme that peterandrobin.com is sporting.
